On January 2, 1997 we flipped the switch on a station in Reno and launched the first Immaculate Heart Radio station. This was a true ‘fixer upper’ station with some of the worst programming that talk radio had to offer at that time – psychic healers, sex talk, etc. We didn’t warn the audience that a change was coming, and all of a sudden their old programming was gone, and Mother Angelica was on the air praying the Rosary – followed by other good Catholic programs.
A lot has happened in 20 years, and Immaculate Heart Radio is now a network of 33 stations and translators in six states – California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Hawaii. There are so many great people who have helped us over the years, and we will do our best this year to thank all of them.
First, we ask you to join us in offering prayers of thanksgiving to the Lord for sustaining Immaculate Heart Radio these past 20 years. We have been blessed to hear from thousands of listeners whose lives have been changed by Immaculate Heart Radio, and it is a privilege to be an instrument of God’s love and mercy.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever! – Psalm 106:1
