Q. What is a podcast?
A. A podcast is, in essence, a digital recorder for audio or video on the web. It allows us to make our content easily available to you. Once you subscribe to a podcast, they are automatically sent to you as they are published. That way, you never miss your favorite show!
Q. When are podcasts published?
A. We typically publish podcasts on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sometimes there may be a delay for a day or so if people are sick or on vacation. Publishing a podcast is a manual process for us as we have a description of each show.
Q. I don’t see a podcast for a show on a date when I believe there should be one. What happened?
A. Occasionally we run shows that are “Best Of” as hosts are on vacation or otherwise unavailable to do their show. We do not podcast shows that are “Best Of” shows.
Q. How do I play a podcast?
A. Playing a podcast is the same as playing any other media file. To play it, all you need is any software capable of playing MP3 files. These include programs you may already have on your computer like Windows Media Player, iTunes, or WinAmp.
Q. How do I subscribe to a podcast?
A. Subscribing to a podcast is a bit more difficult that simply playing the file. You’ll need something like iTunes, or Juice on your PC in order to subscribe to a podcast. You can also use web-based podcast subscription services like Podnova.com, Pageflakes.com or Netvibes.com to manage your subscription. If you have a smart phone (Apple or Android-based), you can always download the ihradio.com app and receive all our podcasts automatically!
Q. Can you help me to tweak my podcast subscriptions?
A. Unfortunately, there are so many different ways to subscribe to a podcast, and so many different software solutions out there, we are unable to help with every little thing that’s possible. However, the podcastfaq.com has lots of resources and information that can help you.
