Getting to know the Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) in San Diego

  • In-studio guests on Setting Things Right included: Margie Carroll, Fr. Gil Gentile, Martha Ranson, Deborah Hoffmann, and Sharron Shelton – all intimately and uniquely involved in the Ignatian Volunteer Corps.
  • The Ignatian Volunteer Corps® (IVC) provides mature men and women opportunities to serve others and to transform lives.  IVC matches the talents of experienced Volunteers with the greatest social needs of our time.  It also provides an Ignatian spirituality foundation and setting in which IVC volunteers serve and grow in holiness.
  • IVC works in partnership with hundreds of community partner organizations. These nonprofit organizations provide Ignatian Volunteers with substantive work to serve individuals who have slipped through this country’s safety net.  These 60 minutes will make listeners mini-experts on the IVC.
