Immaculate Heart Radio has some of the most wonderful volunteers who give of their time and talent to help share the Catholic faith with millions over the airwaves. One of these volunteers, Michael Ochoa, volunteered at our recent pledge drive for 12 hours – each day! Armed with enthusiasm and a couple of energy drinks, Michael took calls from our generous listeners from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day of our two-day pledge drive.
When asked why he decided to volunteer for Immaculate Heart Radio, Michael said, “I volunteer because that’s what I do when I believe in something. I believe what Pope John Paul II said about needing to use all mediums to evangelize, and I believe Immaculate Heart Radio does that. I am typically an outgoing guy and love to interact with people, so I love helping with the pledge drives because I get to speak with people who enjoy the programming as much as I do. ”
Michael is an active member of St. Joseph’s parish in Clarksburg, CA and a charter member of their Knights of Columbus council. He works for the State of California and used some of his vacation time to devote 2 full days to Immaculate Heart Radio’s pledge drive.
“I enjoy learning about my faith, I love the Catholic programming on Immaculate Heart Radio and like everyone I’m just trying to live my faith to the best of my ability each day.”
If you would like to join Michael in volunteering at our pledge drives – whether for an hour on one day or for 12 hours each day – our Fall Pledge Drive will take place October 3-6 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. If interested, contact Nicole Cardin at firstname.lastname@example.org or 866-774-3278 ext. 247.
